Evan Murray is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and moved to Charleston in 2010 to attend The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, and fell in love with the city. Upon graduating, he was commissioned as an Artillery Officer in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
A few years later, he was promoted to Captain and was stationed in the Republic of Korea as an Operations Officer in the 2nd Infantry Division. Evan reunited with his wife in Charleston after completing his Service Obligation of two years in Korea.Shortly after, Evan chose to embark on a career in real estate because he wanted to help people find their own piece of heaven here in the Lowcountry. He joined Sally Castengera, his wife’s grandmother and the first Realtor® on Daniel Island. With Sally’s 30 years of experience in the Charleston market, and Evan’s knowledge of strategic planning and financial analysis, it has been a winning combination! They joined Corcoran HM Properties in 2023. Evan is also a Military Relocation Professional (MRP) and understands the needs of current and former U.S. service members, their families, and veterans.
Evan and his wife, Melaina, live in Charleston with their daughter, Sterling. We absolutely loved working with Evan! He did a fantastic job assisting us with the sale of our former home - and the purchase of our new home! His knowledge of the local real estate market was exceptional and he expertly helped us navigate the market's changing trends. He was attentive to us throughout the entire process and always took the time to quickly answer our many questions. Evan made the entire experience a pleasure and we wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell a home
Elizabeth BEvan was the BEST REALTOR to work with - he is knowledgeable about the area and the market, first time home buying, DIY tips, and is all around just an enjoyable person. He listened to our needs and requests, and worked with us to find a new home that we love. I really truly cannot recommend working with him enough. He is great with everyone from young first time homebuyers to seasoned home owners looking for a Charleston retiree lifestyle.
Serena TEvan Murray is one of the best real estate agents I’ve had the pleasure of working with for the sale of our home and the purchase of another. His knowledge and expertise went above and beyond anything I had ever dealt with. He took time to get to houses before us and pointed out things that I wouldn’t have noticed on my own. When he wasn’t able to show us a house for sale, one of his Team members made a point to help us since we knew there would be an urgency to make an offer on the property. He went above and beyond to get our home sold and another property that meets our specifications purchased. I am forever grateful for all of his hard work.
Judy FEvan was our realtor for my husband and I with our new construction home. Evan was extremely knowledgeable throughout the process of building a home and pointed out a lot of things we wouldn’t have noticed or known to do without him. Evan was a pleasure to work with, being prompt for all meetings, answering any questions we had quickly, and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Highly recommend Evan for any real estate needs.
Nikki HEvan made our first home buying experience exceedingly pleasant, even in a difficult/intimidating market. He was always available for our endless questions and genuinely cared about getting us into a home that was right for our family. He walked us through every step of the way, and even helped us navigate additional paperwork after the closing was said and done so that my married name would be on the deed. I'm in love with our home - so I won't be needing a realtor anytime soon - but if we ever decide to move, Evan will definitely be the first person we call!
