Susan grew up in Warminster, Pennsylvania in historical Bucks County near Philadephia and moved with her dad to Dallas, Texas, when she was 18 years old so he could continue his military career with the U.S. Marines. Susan began her real estate career at only 19 years old when she approached her father and said, “I’m ready to go to college!” He replied, “I think you’re just a little too wild to be sitting through four years of college right now. How about real estate school?” Susan’s dad had long military career in the Marines as a Warrant Officer and she learned at a young age to never say no to him. Furthermore, her father even offered to attend with her. That was the beginning of Susan’s successful real estate career and after 37 years she is still going strong!
During her five years in Texas, Susan worked for Century 21, got married and had a daughter. When the market crashed in 1987, she moved back to Pennsylvania and continued to sell real estate with Weichert Realtor®s. In 1992, she had had enough of the cold winters and snow and traveled to North Carolina with some college friends to visit a “hip, new southern city” called Charlotte. She fell in love with the Queen City and made the move within weeks. She spent two years working in accounting for Lincoln Properties and attending Queens College. After she got her North Carolina real estate license, she went to work for Coldwell Banker and continued taking classes at Queens College. Susan’s schooling in accounting did not alter her career path because her passion for real estate never waned. She spent the next 22 years with ReMax before joining HM Properties in 2019.
Susan’s hard work and charisma have earned her a reputation for being a well-seasoned, qualified and valuable Realtor®. She also has a wonderful sense of humor. Susan has been a consistent multi-million dollar producer from the start and has received annual company awards throughout her career. She has also been nominated by her clients for Charlotte Magazine’s “Five Star Professional Real Estate Award” for many years. Susan enjoys helping a wide range of clients whether navigating the way for first time home buyers or providing help in the luxury market. Her experience and knowledge ensures you will be in excellent hands.
Susan lives in South Charlotte with her Maltipoo dog, Moses, and rescue cat, Miss Kitty (aka: Sassy). She has a big heart for animals. Her daughter, Amie, graduated from Belmont Abby College in 2017, and landed her dream job in upstate New York working as one of the directors at Camp Seneca Lake. In her free time, Susan enjoys traveling and hiking.
Susan helped us find our first home! It was EXACTLY what we wanted. She is a great listener and passionate about what she does. The buying process was smooth and timely. We felt confident with her representing us; knowing everything was handled with the highest integrity. As our family grows, we may need to look at getting a bigger house and we plan to call on Susan!Adam & Lindsay S
