Moira was born and raised in Lynchburg, Virginia, and graduated from Virginia Tech. She moved to Charlotte 13 years ago and was the Promotions Director for WCCB/Fox 18 before joining Thermo Industries' marketing department. Moira has been with HM Properties since they opened in 2006.

Moira and her husband, Hank, have two sons.
