While the Queen City has been Jennifer’s beloved adopted hometown for 20+ years, she originally grew up in Roanoke, Virginia, before finishing Charlotte Latin School. After graduating North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Zoology, she went on to pursue a successful career in medical device sales for 15 years. Jennifer later balanced her corporate sales profession with a goal to study classical architecture and obtained a MSc in Conservation of Historic Buildings at University of Bath- Bath, England.
Her appreciation of architecture and preservation helped catapult her into a full-time career of North and South Carolina residential real estate in 2017. She not only worked for a developer in England helping convert a 15th century mill to multi-family, but also worked as a new construction sales agent with a 55+ maintenance free builder to speak to both genres before joining HM Properties in 2019. She brings a diverse array of skills and experience to each of her real estate clients including access to a network of qualified craftsmen, architects and builders.
Jennifer also had been nominated to sit on the esteemed Charlotte Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission while contributing to their Design & Review Committee providing insight to her “hometown” of Charlotte. She is also a current advisory board member at Charlotte’s Historic Rosedale Plantation, providing garden design plans and initiating numerous speaker engagements with garden historians. Jennifer chose the historic Eastover neighborhood to be her home and enjoys travel, gardening and entertaining friends and family in addition to her volunteer work. She is frequently spotted with her new black Lab puppy, Birdie, and Cavalier King Charles who prefer to accompany her on all sales calls.
